For many of us, Lambay Island is a magnificent yet elusive part of Dublin’s seascape.
The privately-owned retreat, located 4km off the Rush coastline in North County Dublin, is one of the first glimpses you get of Ireland as your plane begins its descent towards Dublin Airport.
While private trips to the island can be facilitated, you are not allowed to land on Lambay without permission.
In this video, two tourists get to visit the island and capture some of its resident wallabies on camera. The small, kangaroo-like creatures were first introduced to the island by the Baring family in the 1950s.
