THE Dublin ladies’ senior football team will make the journey south this Sunday to take on the challenge of Waterford in Division 1 of the Lidl Ladies National Football League.
The All-Ireland champions are in the unusual position of looking for a first victory in three games after back-to-back defeats against Cork and Galway.
The 4-6 to 2-6 defeat against Galway was a particularly massive blow to the Metropolitans’ hopes of reaching the Division 1 final.
This weekend sees Round 5 of the league with Cork currently heading the table on 12 points following four consecutive victories since the turn of the year.
Mick Bohan’s Dublin team and Waterford are both on four points, suggesting a tight contest in Dungarvan.
