Teen (18) left with life-changing injuries after Artane stabbing

Gardaí are investigating a serious assault on an 18-year-old male in Artane yesterday evening.

The incident occurred on Thorndale Walk in Artane yesterday evening (Thursday, January 2). The young man sustained stab injuries, which areserious and life-changing but not life-threatening.

The laneway where the altercation occurred runs between Thorndale Estate and St David’s sports grounds in the Artane area. It is believed that up to 20 youths from the local surrounding area carried out the attack, all of whom fled in the direction of Rockfield Park between 8pm and 9pm on Thursday evening.

Gardaí have appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity or may have witnessed or heard any disturbances in this area to contact them. Any road users with dashcam footage, or anyone who may have video content of the incident from social media sources, have also been asked to come forward.
