A NEW therapy garden has been developed by Merchants Quay Ireland with support from Mylan.
The development is an integral part of a holistic approach to support Merchants Quay clients using their facility.
In 2018, Merchants Quay Ireland helped 10,417 people, with needs spanning homelessness, addiction and mental health. Therapeutic gardens are deliberately planned to facilitate people’s interactions with nature and improve the wellbeing of its visitors.
It is hoped this garden will help increase social interaction and aim to elevate the overall sense of comfort experienced by Merchant Quay Ireland clients.
David Delaney, European Director from Mylan, which has sites in Baldoyle, Northern Cross and Damastown, said: “I was delighted to meet with Siobhan Nolan, the horticulture leader in Merchants Quay, to see the beautiful garden which is already bearing fruit and vegetables. It is wonderful to see such colour and growth for the clients in Merchants Quay to enjoy.”
