All I want for Christmas… is to have Buster back for cuddles

MISSING: Buster

A NORTHSIDE woman has issued another heartfelt appeal to members of the public to help her find her beloved pet.

Buster, a two-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, went missing in Father Collins Park, Donaghmede, on February 15 at 10am.

Buster was wearing a hi-viz jacket and a collar on the day of his disappearance. He is also microchipped and neutered.

Despite an appeal made through this newspaper, a campaign on social media and his owners putting up numerous posters locally, there has been no sign of Buster in the last nine months.

However, his owners, Sandra and Paul Kelly, haven’t given up hope of finding him and are offering a reward for his safe return.

In an emotional plea, Ms Kelly told Northside People: “Please keep looking and help us find our missing Buster. We want our boy back so please, whoever has him, do the right thing.

“I won’t give up on him. Please let him come home for Christmas. The thoughts of seeing his Christmas jumper and he’s not here to put it on him, is heartbreaking.

“Buster’s sister Molly is pining for him. They are our two babies. They mean everything to us and they are part of the family.

“I have cried a river of tears for him and still do (cry). I can’t think why people can just take a pet like that and leave you heartbroken.”

Ms Kelly said the family misses Buster terribly.

“I want him back on my lap having cuddles where he should be,” she added.

Anyone who owns a dog will be more than aware of what an important part of the family they are. Northside People is happy to support the campaign to find Buster in the hope that one of our readers will have information that could lead to his return.

It is highly unlikely that a dog could simply disappear in these circumstances without somebody else’s knowledge. If you can help, you will be giving one family the best Christmas gift imaginable.
