MALAHIDE Community School will be hosting a Wellbeing Expo to showcase the work it does in promoting wellbeing in the school and local community.
The centerpiece on Tuesday, March 24, will be the Malahide CS Wellbeing 5K which will be open to the general public. The exposition will be held in the canteen and will take the form of a number of displays and demonstrations showcasing how the school promotes healthy eating, diet, physical exercise, civic duty, mindfulness and other elements of student and staff wellbeing.
The event will take place from 6pm to 9.30pm with the Wellbeing 5K starting at 7.15pm. The race will start and finish in the school grounds and will bring participants through the beautiful surroundings of Malahide Castle and gardens. The entry fee is €15 and the first 200 registrations are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt with the possibility that more will be available on the night. There is free entry for children under the age of 12 and they do not need to register but must be accompanied by an adult.
Online registration for the general public will close at 6pm on Sunday, April 22. On the day, registration will take place in the school building and will be available between 5pm and 6.45pm. Category and spot prizes will also be presented on the night.
