Elaine aims to realise pottery project dream

Elaine is hoping to start a new community pottery project in Fairview.

THE countdown is on for a local woman to raise

?¬5,000 to help her make her dream of opening a community pottery project come true.

That is the amount Elaine Fallon needs as part of a campaign which has raised over

?¬9,000 since it began.

In 2012, Elaine, a trained potter, set up the Brookwood Pottery from a garage at the end of her garden in Artane where she makes hand-thrown pottery and artworks.

However, she wants to move to more suitable premises in Fairview where she intends to set up a teaching pottery project.

People interested in pottery will be welcome to explore the benefits of working with clay.

The new premises will provide pottery enthusiasts like Elaine with a space to create, wind down from their busy lives and connect with others through a shared interest.

“I’m going to keep going until the very last minute of the campaign,

? said Elaine, who has put her heart and soul into the project but needs the public’s help to reach her financial goal.
