Man released without charge in Swords murder probe

A 29-year-old man arrested in connection with a murder investigation in Swords has been released without charge. A file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí are continuing to investigate the murder of a 56-year-old man in Swords in the early hours of Sunday morning. At approximately 3.05am on July 16, gardaí attend at North Street, where a male was found with serious injuries. He was attended to by medical personnel but was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses who may have been in or around North Street between 1.30am and 3am on Sunday morning – or anyone who may have driven around the area and have
