VIDEO: Raheny and Baldoyle in the 1960s

THIS old archive footage of Northside Dublin in the 1960s will be of huge interest to anyone who grew up in Raheny or Baldoyle.

Shot by firefighter and historian Leslie Crowe, founder of the Lorcan Film Unit, it provides a fascinating snapshot of life in these growing Northside communities.

This short clip includes well-known locations, including the Manhattan Bar in Raheny Village and the legendary Baldoyle Racecourse in its heyday.
