BALDOYLE United FC’s Junior Academy is continuing to grow in popularity.

The academy, which caters for boys and girls, age four to 11, runs every Saturday morning at the club’s all-weather pitch on Brookstone Road.

Chairman Dermot Penrose said the club has put a lot of resources into the academy over the last five years.

“The focus is on learning football skills in a fun and age-appropriate way,” he said. “Such was the demand from local girls that that we now have a separate girls’ academy running immediately after the boys every Saturday morning.”

The club, named Community Club of the Year in 2015/16 by the FAI, has also invested resources in developing its coaches to manage its 25 schoolboy, schoolgirl and men’s teams.

The Boys’ Football Academy (ages 4-7) runs every Saturday from 10am to 11am, and the Girls’ Academy (ages 5-11) is from 11am to 12noon.  There is no need to register. Drop in to the club’s Brookstone Road astro pitch any Saturday.
