THE Millwood Court senior citizens in Edenmore are celebrating after being crowned Pool League Champions. Manager of the team David Glanville praised all the players involved, including Captain Marvel, Paddy Behan.
“He (Paddy) had a great record in the league going unbeaten,” said Mr Glanville. “He never lost a match and our coach and team members awarded him with a Player of the Year trophy. He was and is an inspiration to his team and is a hard act to follow.”
Paddy Behan thanked all of the players for their hard work, dedication, the joy they brought to Millwood Court, and for their excellent sportsmanship and courtesy they brought to other communities they played in.
“We hope next year we can do Millwood Court proud again,” said Paddy.
