Locals push the bed out for Hospice

BEDFELLOWS: Pictured is the group of locals who took part in the bed push from Swords to Raheny.

DID you spot a group of people pushing a bed around the Northside on May 14?

Swords Pavilions management, security, car park and Next staff took to the roads for a sponsored bed push for St Francis Hospice, Raheny.

The fundraisers are aiming to raise enough money to purchase 15 specialised beds for the In-Patient Unit at the Hospice.

To date they have raised enough funds to purchase nine beds, and with generous help from the public, they are hoping to reach their target by the end of 2016.

The volunteers, who pushed the bed from Swords to Raheny, would like to thank the local gardai and St John’s Ambulance who also gave their services on the day, and all those who contributed to this very worthy cause.
