THE Junior section of Malahide/Fingal Hockey Club enjoyed a triumphant day recently when they had three teams contesting the league finals.
The day began with their team playing the X8 final in Foxrock against Avoca Hockey Club where they came from 1-0 down to win 2-1 after extra time.
Back in Malahide the Minors took on Skerries Hockey Club. Skerries led 1-0 at half-time, and although Malahide got it back to 1-1, the visiting team converted their pressure into two more goals and ran out 3-1 winners. The club would like to congratulate Skerries on their victory.
The last final of the day saw the Juniors play some great hockey to defeat Genesis Hockey Club 3-0 in Malahide.
There was huge support on the day for all the teams and Malahide/Fingal Hockey Club have a bright future with an increasing amount of girls being selected for Leinster and Fingal develop-ment.
