A Dublin City Council sign warning dog owners to clean up after their pets has had something of the opposite effect. Instead, some lazy, irresponsible locals have left their excrement filled poop bags at the base of the sign in Donaghmede Park, obviously in the hope that Dublin City Council will clean up the disgusting mess.
Not that it’s any excuse, but there is a notable absence of bins in the popular park, which has been plagued by dog fouling problems for years.
We emailed these photos to Dublin City Council and asked what they intended to do about the problem at this particular location.
Will additional bins be provided? What type of enforcement action is planned to deal with offenders?
At the time of writing, no official response to our queries had been received.
