Once the figures were totted up Windsor Motors announced that thanks to their customers’ test drives they raised over
?¬8,000 for Breast Cancer Ireland.
The money will be used for vital funding to support research into Breast Cancer. Under the direction of leading Breast Surgeon, Professor Arnold K Hill, the goal at Breast Cancer Ireland is to seek, through research, to transform breast cancer from often being a fatal disease, to a chronic illness, that can be maintained long term through treatment.
Breast cancer will affect one in every ten women in Ireland today. Recent advances in diagnosis and treatment have improved survival rates, yet there’s still 680 deaths annually in Ireland.
Investment in research is vital and that’s where the funds raised from Nissan Micra Pink Week will help.
Peter Nicholson, Dealer Principal at Windsor Airside said the company was delighted with the amount raised during Pink Week.
“We would like to thank all of our customers for their support during Micra Pink week,
? he said.
“The money raised will be going towards vital research through Breast Cancer Ireland.
