AT the Beijing International Motor Show, SEAT presented the SEAT Ibiza Cupra Concept, which is a close-to-production version of what will be the flagship of the Ibiza range.

Power comes from a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine, which employs both a supercharger and a turbocharger to help put out 180hp and 250Nm of torque.
There is a seven-speed DSG transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel and the car also features an XDS electronic differential lock, high-performance brakes and a comprehensive equipment list that includes the new SEAT Portable System, which combines navigation and entertainment functions and is removable for mobile use.
The Ibiza Cupra Concept is a 3-door and in terms of styling comes with 17″ wheels, the exterior mirrors are painted black and the concept car in Beijing was painted Crono yellow.
A new version of the Ibiza is coming to Irish SEAT showrooms in the coming weeks and as for the Cupra, it is for now a concept car, but expect to see the real thing later this year.
