The permanent tsb Ideal Home Show returns to the RDS Simmonscourt next week

The Spring 2023 permanent tsb Ideal Home Show returns to the RDS Simmonscourt from Friday to Sunday, 21st to 23rd April; the best place to meet hundreds of home improvement professionals and suppliers from around Ireland to plan your perfect home renovation, extension or new build, and discover a world of furnishings, appliances and lifestyle pieces to make your home your own.

Returning for this spring edition of the show, the ever-popular Phonewatch Ask An Expert Hub will be standing by throughout the weekend, with a huge array of rotating guests and specialists from exhibitors and special guests.

Saving on spending whilst keeping your energy sources greener and renewable may not appear to go hand-in-hand, but the Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan Home Advice Theatre is here to dispel those notions; hear top industry figures share their knowledge and advice on how to save on energy, how to retrofit your home, how to avail of home energy grants, and how to plan and manage a successful new build or renovation.

A visit to the Electric Ireland Superhomes Home Energy Upgrade Pavilion will provide you with all you need to know to make an informed decision when looking for ways to reduce energy costs or make a plan to retrofit your home; You can find out about grants and incentives from the SEAI, see solar panels, heat pumps, external and much more.

Dunnes Stores are bringing along their Simply Better brand ambassador Chef Neven Maguire to this April’s permanent tsb Ideal Home Show to demonstrate live how easy it is to cook at the Dunnes Stores Simply Better Chefs LIVE Theatre, using ingredients from the Dunnes Stores Simply Better Collection and utensils from the COOK with Neven Maguire cookware range.

The DFS Interiors Inspiration Centre showcases four Irish creatives who have drawn inspiration from DFS’s campaign, which champions personality-led interiors by asking “What’s Your Thing?”, and will be curating their own rooms with a multitude of items in the DFS range.

On hand to answer that question will be Susan McGowan, of Interior Architecture & Design Studio, Ashen & Cloud, acting as creative director of both the DFS Interiors Theatre and DFS Interiors Inspiration Centre for the show.

Joining Susan are renowned interior design influencers Natasha Rocca Devine, author and founder of ‘The Interiors NRD Studio’, Sarah Battle, of House By The White Thorns, and Yvonne Melinn, founder of YStyle.

Jo Linehan, sustainability journalist and home enthusiast, will be hosting interviews and Q&As at the DFS Interiors Theatre with some of the biggest names in Irish interior design and industry leaders during the show, so don’t miss this chance to hand-out, ask questions and be inspired.

To gain advice, inspiration and ideas for home renovation projects, the Fleetwood Interior Design Hub features a series of room sets designed and built by four interior designers, to demonstrate their creative perspectives to attendees.

Special guests will be in attendance throughout the weekend at the three show theatres, including the permanent tsb Ideal Home Show ambassadors: Jo Linehan, Neven Maguire and Patricia Power.

Jo, a sustainability journalist, is known for founding the GAFF Shop, a circular economy platform where like-minded interior lovers can buy and sell pre-loved home pieces.

Attendees will be able to find Jo hosting the DFS Interiors Theatre every day of the show.

Neven is a household name across Ireland, with a long-list of RTÉ cookery programmes under his belt and his cooking renowned internationally.

Neven will be demonstrating live cooking at the Dunnes Stores Simply Better Chef’s Life Theatre every day of the show.

Patricia is easily recognisable as Ireland’s favourite quantity surveyor on RTÉ’s hit-show, Room To Improve.

She is best known for her straight-talking, no-nonsense approach, continually delivering projects on budget, whilst always considering and preserving the design aspirations of clients. Catch Patricia at the DFS Interiors Theatre on Friday and Saturday.
