A NORTHSIDE actor has landed a guest part in TV3’s hit soap

‘Red Rock’.
Chris Newman, originally from Swords and now living in Corrstown, will feature in an episode to be aired on Wednesday, May 20.
Chris plays Rory Walsh, the young man trying to win over Katie Kiely.
Having ran out on him in a nightclub, Rory tracks Katie down, to return her earing, Cinderella style.
While feisty Katie is determined to keep Rory at arm’s length, he’s keen to win her over.
With Katie working alone in the café, Rory lends a hand and it isn’t long before sparks fly.
As Rory bares all and lays his heart on the table, will Katie take him up on his offer of a date or is David Hennessy still on her mind?
Chris is best known for his roles in
‘Love/Hate’,
‘Ferocious Planet’,
‘Stardust’ and
‘A Date for Mad Mary’. He has done some theatre work with other roles in theatre including,
‘Ribbons’ and
‘Chatroom’. Other roles include
‘Shooting for Socrates’ and
‘Saving The Titanic’.
Chris said he had a

‘Red Rock’.

Red Rock continues to prove a massive success for TV3 and has reached an astounding 2.3 million viewers across TV3, TV3+1 and 3e, since its launch on January 7.
The popular soap drama delivers on average 209,000 viewers per episode across TV3 and TV3+1 and looking at all transmissions across the week (main show on TV3, TV3+1, daytime repeat and weekend Omnibus on TV3, TV3+1 and 3e), Red Rock delivers an average viewership of 284,300 viewers per episode.
