TRANSITION year students at St Mary’s Secondary School, Baldoyle, in conjunction with the third class pupils St Mary’s Primary School, have finished performing

‘Grease the Musical’ over two packed out nights in the school hall.
John Moore, Deputy Principal at St Mary’s Secondary School, said the show was an overwhelming success.
“People arrived early and the queues extended out onto the road as people strived to get the best viewing seats,
? he stated.
“Both the cast and audience enjoyed many memorable moments from start to end.
“The lead characters, Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski, played by Aisling Dennis and Jude Behan, were fantastic.
“They were provided with superb support by Frenchy (Leah Byrne), Sonny (Aisling Fowler), Kenickie (Zoe Johnston), Roger (Michaela Moriarty), Doody (Ciara Richardson), Rizzo (Chloe Smith), Marty (Yasmin Russell) Jan (Kitana Doyle), Eugene Florczyk and Teen Angel (Rebecca O’Dare), Patty (Emma Maguire), Miss Lynch (Aisling O’Broin), Vince Fontaine (Vanessa Greene), Johnny Casino (Nicole Moriarty) and Cha-Cha Di Caprio (Shannon Radford).

“Both nights saw long standing ovations and a fantastic night was had by everyone.
“Many thanks are due to Jimmy Burke for stage preparation and his fantastic car design and also to the directors Carol and Jimmy O’Byrne.

“Thanks are also due to everyone who helped to promote the show, particularly Katie Byrne, Anita Riordan, Linda Byrne and Susan Peakin and students Michaela Moriarty, Rebecca Roberts, Emma Maguire and Chloe Smith; and Tara O’Connell who was responsible for the poster and ticket design.
