Pearl Jam announce Marlay Park date

Grunge icons Pearl Jam will play Dublin’s Marlay Park this June.

The rock legends are embarking on a world tour in support of their new album Dark Matter which will be released in April.

The Seattle group helped define the sound of 90s rock thanks to a string of hits such as Jeremy, Alive, Daughter and Spin The Black Circle.

Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft and post-punk group The Murder Capital will serve as support on the day.

Famous for their crusade against Ticketmaster in the 1990s, the group have announced that their tour will use all-in pricing to ensure the ticket price listed is the full out-of-pocket price inclusive of fees.

The Marlay Park show marks Pearl Jam’s first gig in Ireland since 2010, and their first ever outdoor gig in Ireland.

Tickets are €117.25 from Ticketmaster, with tickets on sale from Friday, February 23rd.

The gig itself will take place on Saturday April 22nd, while the new album, Dark Matter, will release on April 19th.
