West End stars to perform in Helix Billie Barry show

Susan McFadden

TWO West End stars will return to their Billie Barry Stage School roots for a new production at the Helix this month.

Celtic Woman’s Susan McFadden and West End star Louise Bowden grew up together as students of the legendary stage school.

They both went on to become West End leading ladies, starring in musicals ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘Grease’, ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Singing in the Rain’, ‘Mary Poppins’, ‘White Christmas’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and many more.

Four years ago, Louise returned to Billie Barry to work alongside the school’s director, Lorraine Barry, as teacher, creative and choreographer.

After years on the West End stage, Susan McFadden took a starring role in Celtic Woman and toured the world with this hugely successful production. She has recently returned home for the birth of her beautiful baby girl.

Louise and Susan will now star as special guests with the Billie Barry Stage School in ‘Musicala 6 – Choirs on Fire, Dance with Desire’ at the Mahony Hall in the Helix on October 12 & 13.

Lorraine Barry said she was thrilled to be working with Louise and Susan for their latest production and that all her students were very excited about it.

The show features the Billie Barry Stage School choirs under the musical direction of Peter Beckett, with music from ‘Wicked’, ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ and ‘The Greatest Showman’, to name but a few highlights.
