House
Dublin upcyclers can bring life to a tired piece of furniture by having their upcycled piece showcased front and centre at Ireland’s premium interior design event.
House returns to the RDS Dublin for its fourth year from May 24 to 26. There will be 160 hand-picked exhibitors and sponsors; and various stages, including the Inspiration Stage, the Trend Talks stage, and an Upcycling Area, where attendees can gain insights and advice from high-profile speakers.
Tickets for House are on sale now. An adult one-day ticket costs €12. Children under 12 years of age are free, but must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased online via: https://www.house-event.ie/buy-tickets.
Indie Beer Week
Indie Beer Week takes place from Wednesday May 22 to Sunday May 26 and it features a series of celebrations across the city.
Local breweries will involve their local pubs, restaurants or off-licences for tastings, live music and local food to highlight their dynamic range of truly unique and genuine beers. Some breweries will open to the public and welcome their community for tours and tastings.
Dublin breweries involved include Hope Beer at Howth Junction Business Park, Kilbarrack Road, Porterhouse Brewing Company at 47 Nassau Street, Dublin 2, Priory Brewing Company in Tallaght Enterprise Centre, and Rascals Brewing Company at Goldenbridge Estate, Tyrconnell Road, Inchicore. International Literature Festival
Ireland's premier literary event gathers the finest writers in the world to debate, provoke, delight and enthral from now until Sunday May 26.

Lord David Puttnam talk at RDS
The RDS is welcoming the Oscar-winning film producer and Ireland’s first Digital Champion, Lord David Puttman, for a talk on Tuesday, May 28 at the RDS Library. It is open to all and free to attend.
Drawing from his experiences as a policymaker and his insights as a filmmaker and educator, Lord Puttnam will offer his thoughts on the challenges and opportunities facing Ireland and how new ideas, advances in technology, education, and changes in culture will shape the next decade.
In particular, Lord Puttnam will discuss the importance of enhancing our digital infrastructure and what it can mean for Ireland. He will conclude his talk with an informal Q&A session.
Malahide Classic Car Show
Some rare and expensive cars will be the big attraction at the Malahide Classic and Vintage Motor Show at the Grand Hotel, Malahide, this Sunday, May 26.
The event attracts car lovers and families from all across Dublin and Leinster.
The showpiece car will be a very rare 1926 Minerva AF Towncar, a Belgian make once owned by an Irish-American boxer with a history! Together with up to 100 beautiful old cars on display ranging from Rolls Royce to Jensen, Mustang to Cadillac, Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche… the list goes on.
Malahide Classic and Vintage Motor Show is a charity fundraiser organised by Malahide Lions Club and will open to the public at 11am.
Entrance will cost €5 per adult or €15 for the whole family with the entire proceeds going to Debra Ireland, the charity supporting those with the severe ‘butterfly’ skin condition EB.
PhotoIreland Festival
The tenth anniversary of Ireland's International Festival of Photography & Image Culture is underway.
Running until July 31, this Vibrant, friendly, all-inclusive festival is a visual treat for anybody with an interest in photography or those who just enjoy looking at great photographs.
