Liffey Odyssey Spectacular
On Sunday April 29 Dublin City Centre will come alive as a flotilla of up to a hundred canoes, kayaks, Stand-up Paddle Boards, rafts and more will sail down the Liffey. In a riot of colour and to the sound of drums, bells, whistles, trumpets and other musical instruments the boats will entertain shoppers, tourists and passers-by as they makes their way from Islandbridge to the 3 Arena. The event is in aid of Crumlin Medical Research Foundation. If you are in town on the day around 1pm to 2pm make sure you head to the Liffey Quays and join in the fun.
It’s showtime in Baldoyle
Baldoyle Musical Society presents '9 to 5 – The Musical' from April 24-28 at 8pm in St Mary's Secondary School, Baldoyle. Drama in East Wall
Riverside Drama Circle, now in its 45th year, is moving to a new venue for its major 2018 production. Pets in the City
The annual Pets in the City, brought to you by Dublin City Council and supported by the DSPCA and King of Paws, will take place from 11.30am on Sunday April 29 in Smithfield Square, Dublin 7.
This free, family friendly event promises to be a great day out for animal lovers living in the city with a wide range of activities, stalls and entertainment.
Dublin Flea Market
The Dublin Flea market is a great way to while away a Sunday afternoon. It’s A bizarre bazaar of vintage clothing, bric-a-brac and what nots.
It happens on the last Sunday of each month at the Dublin Food Co-op, The Green Door Market, and on the square at Newmarket, Dublin 8. The next market is April 29 from 11am to 5pm.
Organisers suggest coming by foot, bike or bus for less fumes, less parking stress and more fun.
Bowie Experience
The ‘Bowie Experience – The Golden Years Tour’ – celebrating the music of pop icon David Bowie comes to The Helix on Friday, April 27.
This mesmerizing production promises an unforgettable journey of sound and vision, featuring all the hits from A to Ziggy.

Vinyl
High-profile musicians and songwriters, established music industry figures and well-known music fans including Flood (U2, Depeche Mode, Nick Cave), actor Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders, Dunkirk),Manchester DJ, writer and broadcaster Dave Haslam and co-founding member of The Cure, Lol Tolhurst will be at Royal Hospital Kilmainham over the May Bank Holiday Weekend (5-7) for this year’s Vinyl event.
Vinyl will present the people who made the records that would define not just a number of eras but also their respective cultures. Day tickets from €49.50 are on sale now.
Broadway works showcased
To celebrate American College Dublin’s 25th anniversary, Ireland’s premiere musical theatre degree students will showcase the works of Broadway’s legendary song writing partnerships – Rogers and Hammerstein, and Kander and Ebb – in The National Concert Hall on May 3.
This musical performance, produced by Deirdre Masterson, directed and choreographed by Mary MacDonagh and under the musical direction of David Wray, will also include special guest performances from leading West End Irish stars Aileen Donohoe, Eoin Cannon and Morgan Crowley.

Park Art Group
An art exhibition by the Park Art Group open on Friday May 4 at 7pm and continues over the Bank Holiday weekend in the Foxrock Parish Centre (beside Foxrock Church).
The 2018 Exhibition will showcase the work of the artists in oils, watercolours and acrylics as well as some pen and ink drawing, pastel, mono and linoprints.
The Park Art Group 2018 Exhibition is being held in support of the Blackrock Hospice.
