Malahide Tennis Club has announced that this year’s club summer event will feature a spectacular line up that includes Ryan Sheridan, Something Happens and The 4 of Us. Swords Summer Festival
Great excitement for all the family is promised at the annual Swords Summer Festival 2017 this weekend.  The festival promises to be bigger and better this year and will take place over four days from July 20 to 23.

Dublin Maker
Dublin Maker is a free to attend, community run event, which will be held this Saturday (July 22) from 10am in Merrion Square. it takes the form of a

‘show and tell’ experience where inventors/makers sourced through an open call have an opportunity to showcase their creations in a carnival atmosphere. It is a family friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the maker movement.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors and commercial exhibitors.
U2 Tribute
Get in the mood for U2’s gig in Croke Park this weekend with the help of tribute band ZOOROPA, who take to the stage in the Button Factory, Temple Bar, on Friday (July 21).With a full 2-hour performance expect to hear all the classics, new songs and of course the rare gems.

Coolock Walking Club
There is no better time than the summer months to get fit and one of the easiest forms of exercise is walking. A community walk catering for all ages and levels of fitness takes place every Tuesday at 9.45am in the Stardust Memorial Park, Coolock. Parents, grandparents and strollers are welcome after the school drop-off. No booking needed. Irish Open Tennis Championship
The AIG Irish Open Tennis Championship will return to the Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club in Dublin from July 22 to 29. The newly revamped championship will include both men’s and women’s singles and doubles events.
Aside from the prize money on offer, world-ranking points will also be won. Tickets for the AIG Irish Open Tennis Championship are available from Tennis Ireland by emailing tickets@tennisireland.ie. Members of the Irish tennis community are being encouraged to get involved through supporting the events at Fitzwilliam.
Dublin International Piano Festival
The Dublin International Piano Festival is taking place from July 22 to 30 in various locations around the city. This year a stellar line up of events features piano maestros from Ireland and the world over. Highlights include classical and electronic aficionado Francesco Tristano, Russian ‘Titan of the Piano’ Berezovsky plus Schubertiade with Dr Evelyne Brancart and Archie Chen.
The fifth annual showcase of the world’s finest pianists will be held at various venues across Dublin city including The National Concert Hall, Dublin City Gallery: The Hugh Lane and Rathmines’ Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) Conservatory of Music and Drama. Summer of Heritage
The Summer of Heritage programme of events is a series of free guided tours run by the Heritage Office of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. They are suitable for families, historic groups and individuals interested in local history.This year there are 30 free guided tours to offer to the visiting public.
