Keating was born in Tipperary in 1953. He studied at the Crawford College of Art, Cork, Trinity College Dublin, Leicestershire and the Arts Students’ League of New York. In ‘Works from The Studio’, the artist sees his work as a kind of gesture figuration expressed in fragments of reality.

Masquerade

On Saturday April 15, Film Fatale Events will once more bring the great parties of the past to life as they return to Dublin with their most extravagant night to date: Masquerade at the RDS.

A carnival of curiosities awaits you, inspired by the great masked balls of Vienna, Paris, St Petersburg and Venice. In the grand tradition of the Masquerade, don your masks and hide your beautiful faces among the dukes and duchesses, counts and courtesans while you revel in the spectacle.

As this is masquerade-themed event, face-masks and fancy attire (though not necessarily ball gowns!) are mandatory in an effort to ensure that each guest flaunts their inner splendour.

Tickets are €39 and available via Ticketmaster.

Foxy Divil

Following a hugely successful national tour in 2016, including a Dublin premiere during the theatre festival, Stagemad bring their critically acclaimed play ‘Foxy Divil’ to the Mill Theatre for one night only on Thursday, April 13 at 8pm.

Frankie, a homeless man, recounts the stories of his street life. Starting from what led him to take to the streets, we discover the tales and encounter the phantoms and angels of his waking days.

He travels along the edge of sanity, held together by a cocktail of gallows humour, some strange bed-fellows and the scourge of alcohol.
