Weighing in at a whopping 151,000 tonnes, the world’s only cruise-‘liner’, The Queen Mary 2, anchored off Dun Laoghaire Harbour last week.
The majestic liner had arrived from Cobh overnight and her estimated 3,000 passengers were greeted by a piper and Irish dancers, tour guides, free wireless and business offers after docking at the Coal Harbour.
The
‘Cunarder’ measures 345m long and so beats off MSC Splendida, a recent visitor to Dublin Port.

The visit marks a highlight in the 2015 cruise season calendar.
