A NORTHSIDE teenager has thanked school pals and teachers for helping her raise over

?¬600 for a local suicide prevention and mental health awareness group.

Lyndsey Daly put her fears to one side and successfully abseiled down the Hogan Stand at Croke Park last month and her bravery was backed by sponsorship from friends and teachers at Scoil Chaitríona.

Lyndsey more than doubled her target of raising

?¬300 for the Andy Morgan Foundation, and also has an incredible memory that will last a lifetime.

Describing the experience as

“utterly spectacular

? she said:

“Standing there looking down over one of my favourite places, Croke Park, was really something incredible and breathtaking.

“I’ll never forget it. It meant that little bit more because it was in a place I love and have so many amazing memories of, and this is just another!

“I personally would like to say a huge thanks to my school, Scoil Chaitríona, everyone, students and teachers had a huge part to play in the money I raised.

Lyndsey and her school were thanked by Joanne Featherston of the Andy Morgan Foundation who called into Scoil Chaitríona to be presented with the cheque for

?¬605.

“This will help us so much to continue workshops in primary and secondary schools,

? she said.

“you guys are amazing.
