A NEW Crimestoppers appeal for information on last year’s murder of Ballymun man, John O’Regan, was launched last week.
Mr O’Regan was shot while cycling to work at 8.30am on Tuesday April 15, 2014, at Gateway Avenue.
He was approached by an unknown male who was also cycling and wearing a high-vis jacket. A number of shots were fired and Mr O’Regan suffered fatal injuries.
The offender then fled the scene on his bike, travelling across Ballymun Road in the direction of Collins Avenue. There was very heavy traffic at the time and a number of witnesses saw the offender as he was making his escape from the crime scene.
Detective Inspector, Gus Keane, said gardai are anxious to speak to anyone who has information in relation to the murder.
“Perhaps you were aware of suspicious activity in the run up to or on Tuesday, April 15, last year and thought nothing of it at the time,
? he said.
“Even the smallest piece of information, which may seem insignificant, might help with the investigation.
