Energie fitness ready for swim challenge in Swords

Energie fitness in Swords is looking forward to taking part in the Swim for a Mile Challenge.

ENERGIE fitness, based at Applewood Village in Swords, has been selected as one of the host pools for this year’s Swim for a Mile Challenge.

The project, which was initiated in 2014, challenges adults of all ages and abilities to make a healthy lifestyle choice and train themselves to swim a mile in May.

Swim Ireland will provide a free training programme, support, advice and motivation for all those wanting to take on the challenge.

Energie fitness will be running a 12-week and eight-week training programmes to coincide with the event which will take place in the pool on Wednesday, May 20.

Energie fitness is delighted to take part in this national movement and to give the residents of north county Dublin the opportunity to take part in the event close to their home.

The 2015 event promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Swim Ireland have joined an established network of partners to run the event to the highest professional standards.

Along with the free training programmes from Swim Ireland, participants can also avail of free coaching clinics at locations across the country in the lead up to the event.

With Swim Ireland and energie swim academy’s expert support, participants will be able to hone their swimming technique, increase their levels of fitness and improve on a life-long skill – but most importantly, be in prime shape to take on the mile challenge when the events takes place across Ireland.

The Simon Communities of Ireland are the official charity partner of Swim for a Mile 2015.
