Young scientists display their projects at RDS

NORTHSIDE students made the trip across the Liffey last week to take part in the 51st BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) at the RDS.

The BTYSTE is the largest event of its kind in Europe and one of the largest worldwide.
Over 4,000 students from across Ireland entered their ideas, which was a record number in the competition’s history. The top 550 projects went on display at the exhibition.

Past winners of the prestigious BTYSE have gone on to become some of Time Magazine’s most influential teens, establish billion dollar software companies and achieve international success at the EU Young Scientist competition.

Last year’s overall winner was Paul Clarke, a student at St Paul’s College, Raheny.
