Car blaze in Glasnevin

GARDAI are appealing for information after a car was destroyed in a balze in Glasnevin at around midnight on Wednesday, October 8.

At around 12am a grey Volkswagen Bora was spotted on fire at Glasnevin Avenue, a short distance from the DCU campus.

The car was parked on the pavement at the junction of Glasnevin Avenue and Ballymun Road.
A fire engine from Dublin Fire Brigade arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze and the car was removed shortly after 12.30am.

The vehicle was extensively damaged, but nobody was injured in the incident.
People in the neighbourhood told gardaí that the car had been seen parked there on the footpath for almost a week.
