A NORTHSIDE couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently at a reception held in the White Sands Hotel, Portmarnock.

Collette and Tony Moore, from Marino, got married 60 years ago at St Catherine’s Church, Meath Street.

Collette, originally from Pimilico, crossed the Liffey divide to be with Marino native Tony after they met at a cycling club. They duly got engaged after a two-year courtship.

After their marriage the happy couple lived in various parts of the Southside before moving to the Northside where they eventually moved to the Moore family home where they live to this day.

They have eight children, 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A large number of family and friends attended the wonderful celebration fitting for a lovely couple very much admired in the community.
