MEMBERS of a local swimming club are hoping to make waves by holding a fundraising event this month.
North Dublin Winter Swimming Club is organising two races which will take place at the Bull Wall, Clontarf, on Sunday, June 15.
The event is being held in support of the fight against prostate cancer, a condition which is common among men in Ireland including swimmers at a number of clubs.
The gents and ladies’ races will commence at 12.30pm and 1.30pm respectively.
Prize giving will take place in Connolly’s, The Sheds, Vernon Avenue, Clontarf, after racing.
Members of the public are invited to come along on the day, enjoy a walk on Bull Wall, take a swim should they wish and enjoy the racing spectacle.
Should you be unable to attend in person on the day, you may contribute to the fund online at mycharity.ie Padraig and Emma’s Bull Wall Swim.
