The dodgy collectors are telling locals they’re raising money for the popular boxing club but officials are warning the community not to contribute because they’ve nothing to do with the scam.

“3 Bridges Boxing Club do not and have never collected charity funds door to door,

? a spokesperson told Northside People.

“The Dublin Boxing Board has recently authorized 3 Bridges to state that no club is authorised to do any door to door collections.

The local boxing club is well respected in the area for providing a positive outlet for youngsters. Located in Ballymun the club has 40 young boys and girls, from both the Traveller and settled communities, weighing in for various titles.

The club is affiliated to the IABA and receives funding officially in line with other sports organizations.

“3 Bridges Boxing Club deeply regret any inconvenience caused to the public by these bogus collectors,

? the spokesperson added.

“We would ask the public not to donate money to anyone with sponsorship cards purporting to be from this club.
