THE Lord Mayor of Dublin, OisÃn Quinn, unveiled a park bench and planted a tree in Herbert Park last week at a special ceremony to commemorate the late councillor, Joe Doyle.
Cllr Doyle was first elected to Dublin City Council for the Pembroke area in 1979.

His family, friends and colleagues joined the Lord Mayor to remember and celebrate his life and 25 years’ service as a public representative.
“Former Lord Mayor of Dublin, Joe Doyle, was a committed public representative in Dublin City Council, Dáil Ã?ireann and Seanad Ã?ireann,
? the current Lord Mayor said.
” The people of Dublin South East have very fond memories of Joe’s integrity, compassion and commitment in achieving what he believed was best for the people he represented.
“It gives me great pleasure to unveil this park bench in beautiful Herbert Park in the heart of the area which he represented in public life for 25 unbroken years.
