THE National Concert Hall was packed recently for a musical celebration for the Dublin Region of the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP).
Mary Byrne and Howard Crosby, nephew of Bing Crosby, headed the evening of music and song, which was presented by the SVP Dublin Region as part of its celebrations in 2013 to mark the bi-centenary of the birth of the SVP founder Frederick Ozanam.
Compere was RTE’s Mary Kennedy and the show also included performances from Dublin Gospel Choir, Deirdre Ni Chinneide, Affiniti, David O’Connor and Kayleigh Cullinan. The show producer was Noel McDonough.
Andy Doogue, SVP Dublin Region President, said the evening was a fitting celebration in this bi-centenary year.
Mr Doogue thanked all of the artists for providing their services free for the night.
“The evening offered highly entertaining music and song from a diverse group of talented entertainers,
