Thunder Team saved our jobs says taxi man

A TALLAGHT taxi man has claimed that a surprise cash win on a Dublin radio station helped save his family’s jobs.

Barry O’Rourke, from Kilclare Gardens in Jobstown, was surprised by 98FM’s

‘Thunder Team’ when they suddenly appeared on his doorstep and handed him a cheque for

?¬1,000.

Stunned Barry said he and his wife Gail, who both drive taxis for a living, had been presented with a bill for one of their cars that they simply could not afford to fix.

“Luckily we can have the car back on the road thanks to 98FM so we won’t lose out and can continue to pay the bills,

? he said.

“98FM actually saved our jobs.

98FM’s Thunder Team have been pounding the pavements of housing estates across the city giving lucky Dubliners the chance to win thousands of euros as part of the station’s summer music promotion.

A delighted Barry added:

“I still can’t believe I won, I’m absolutely delighted.

“This really couldn’t have come at a better time.
