THE cathaoirleach of Dun Laoghaire County Council, Cllr Tom Joyce, Helen Sansovini of the RSA, winner of Envirocom Award for Engaging Communities in Environmental projects 2012, and President of the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber, Neil Keenan, are pictured at the official launch of the 2013 EnviroCom Awards last week.
The awards are open to any business irrespective of size or sector, agency or non-profit organisation operating in the county.
The annual EnviroCom Awards recognise the best examples of energy management, waste prevention, water conservation, environmental performance and innovation in the county.
Speaking at the launch Cllr Joyce, said:
“When the judging panel assesses entries for the EnviroCom Awards it looks for innovation, environmental, social and economic benefits to communities and replicability in order to select the Award winners.

Organisers of the EnviroCom Awards in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown advise businesses and communities to save money by keeping energy efficiency and environmental protection on the radar.
Previous category winners have included Dell, Nutgrove Shopping Centre, Applegreen, RSA, Bank of Ireland, McDonalds, Scouting Ireland and the Radisson Blue St Helen’s Hotel.
