TO celebrate its 25th anniversary, Rush Musical Society will present Jerry Herman’s renowned Musical of the Movies
‘Mack & Mabel’ at the Millbank Theatre this month.
The show offers audiences more than its fair share of comic thrills and spills, drama, romance and a score full of foot tapping, show-stopping tunes.
The plot is based on the tempestuous romance between Mack Sennett, founder of the Keystone Studios, and his comic star Mabel Normand, both legendary names from the era of silent movies.
The show follows the fortunes of Sennett and Normand from humble beginnings in New York and follows their lives, loves, laughs and tragedies over the following two decades.
Following the nine-night run in Rush the full company look forward to travelling to Landskrona, Sweden to perform four shows in their beautifully restored 100-year-old theatre. This will form the centrepiece of the city’s 600th centenary celebration.
This stylish production is brought to audiences by multi award winning production team, director, Wilfie Pyper, musical director Aidan Faughey, choreographer Michael Evans and chorus master Kevin Walsh.
There is an air of excitement in Rush and Sweden already with strong early bookings. Book now to avoid disappointment.
Mack and Mabel runs for nine nights in the Millbank Theatre Rush from March 7-10 and 12 -16 at 8pm (Saturdays at 8.30pm). For bookings, phone 01-8434745 or email bookings@millbanktheatre.ie
