The Irish firm already employs over 300 people in its 13 dealerships around the country, with the number of employees in the new Kia garage expected to increase over the next 12 months.

The launch of Windsor’s Kia dealership is the latest stage of the company’s continued growth as it increases its nationwide motor footprint.

Gabriel Keane, the CEO of the Windsor Motor Group, said:

“With so much talk of uncertainty around the motor industry in Ireland, we are delighted to be paving the way for the sector by opening a new garage, creating new jobs and offering customers cost effective, consumer focused proposition.

“We are excited to be working with Kia, a growing brand in Ireland, and we plan to help greatly increase the company penetration and presence in Ireland over the coming 12 months and beyond.

A leading global provider for small and medium sized fleet businesses, the company helps owners worldwide to easily and effectively track and manage vehicles through more informed and timely business decisions.

“Today’s event reinforces our commitment to Dublin as our centre of innovation,

? said Jim Travers, CEO.

“This new facility in Cookstown will serve as our primary global product development centre. In addition to the Cookstown location Dublin is also home to the joint Global Data Centre responsible for the European market.

Fleetmatics currently employs 50 personnel at its Cookstown facility, including 35 software developers. In the short-term, the company plans to increase its staff of high-end software developers by roughly 30 per cent and, in due course, the total employed at the facility is expected to double.
