Selfless teens donate birthday proceeds to charity

TWO Southside teens have been praised for thinking of others in the community after they donated the proceeds from a joint 18th birthday to charity.

Alice Quinn and Fred Garvey asked guests who were all their own age to make a donation to Blackrock Hospice. The group was delighted with the idea and over e200 was a raised.

“They realised how lucky they are and appreciate the work the hospice does in Blackrock and across the Southside,

? a family friend said.

Fred and Alice are both sixth year pupils, Fred in Blackrock College while Alice is in St Raphaela’s School.
