FOR the past four years, the Dublin Ultimate Frisbee community has seen a Charity Hat Tournament grace its calendar around Christmas time and this year will be no different.
Having supported various charities in the past, this year the organisers are focusing on the Dublin Simon Community.
The event will be run over one day, December 29, at St Anne’s Park, Raheny. It will consist of approximately a hundred people coming together from all over Ireland to play a day of Ultimate Frisbee games in the style of a ‘hat’ tournament.
This means teams will be formed by picking names randomly out of a hat.
Skill level is measured from 1-10 though so teams can be kept even but more importantly, it means anyone of any standard can participate and get a lot out of the day.
A player fee of
?¬10 or more is all that is asked and in return you get to have a very fun, Christmassy day out in the park working off the excess holiday calories!
