Airport entertainment for Christmas

The Rolestown National School Orchestra will perform at Dublin Airport on Tuesday, December 18, at 9.30am.

DUBLIN Airport is pulling out all the stops to give a festive cead mile failte to the tens of thousands of emigrants expected home for the holidays.

Visitors to terminals 1 and 2 are being entertained with seasonal music performed by adult choral groups and choirs and orchestras from local schools each weekday.

The ten days of entertainment that began on December 14 features groups such as the Dublin Airport Singers, the Lambay Singers, Cor Duibhlinn, Portmarnock Musical Society, and it all culminates in a fantastic day of music on Christmas Eve with the Airport Police & Fire Service Brass Band (10am Terminal 1) and the Dublin Gospel Choir (11.30am Terminal 2).

The Loop at Dublin Airport has also planned entertainment to get those leaving Ireland in the holiday mood with The Lounge Lizards performing at The Slaney Bar, Terminal 2, and The Maverick Trio in The Garden Terrace.

The event culminates on Friday, December 21 with The Cotton Club at The Angels Share, Arrivals Terminal 1 and The Maverick Trio at The Oak Bar Terminal 2.
