BOOTS Ireland has created 30 new jobs in Dublin 15 with the opening of a new store in the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.

The 1,100 square metres store, which was officially opened by MTV star and Dubliner Laura Whitmore, replaces the two existing Boots Ireland stores in the shopping centre.

Welcoming the jobs boost, Fingal’s Deputy Mayor Peggy Hamilton (FG), said Fingal County Council was proud that the largest Boots to open in Ireland and the UK this year was in Blanchardstown.

“It is a welcome boost for employment in the area and represents a vote of confidence,

? she added.

Boots Ireland managing director Debbie Smith said the company was delighted to be creating employment in the area.

“It is because of the strong support we have had from customers at The Blanchardstown Centre that Boots Ireland has been able to open this amazing new store,

? she added.

Gina Quinn, CEO, Dublin Chamber of Commerce, said she believes the opening of the store marks Dublin as an excellent place to do business.

“Boots decision to open another flagship store here is a sign that Dublin is an increasingly competitive place to do business,

? she explained.

“Top global companies are choosing Dublin and we have the skilled workforce and the customer base to support them. Dublin Chamber of Commerce looks forward to working with Boots and other international retailers as they see the increasing opportunities the city has to offer.
