REPUBLIC of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni will
be 73 on St Patrick’s Day and to celebrate the occasion, a Portmarnock
songwriter has released a new song.

Keith Myers wrote

‘Ireland all the Way’ in preparation
for the eagerly awaited European Championships football tournament in Poland
and the Ukraine this summer.

Blend

This anthem is a song for the fans with a blend of
traditional Irish rock to stir the soul of music and football fans alike.

Andy Bennett, a past contestant of RTÃ?’s

‘You’re a
Star’, lends his unmistakable vocal talent to the song.

Members of the

‘Poznan Posse’, a group of locals
travelling to Poland to support the team, add their backing vocals to the song.

The group includes Keith, his brothers Vinny and
Stephen Myers, Dad Bernard, father-in-law Philip Duffy, and fellow fans
Jonathan Clancy, Cathal McParland and Andrew Byrne, as well as brothers Shane
and Paul Carolan.

According to Keith, the song delivers a
tongue-in-cheek commentary on the build up to the championships.

“It has a light-hearted poke at the current challenges
facing supporters who are doing whatever it takes to follow the boys in green,

he told Northside People.

Rousing

“The track crescendos to a rousing finish that’s sure
to instil a drive and passion in us all as we prepare for the upcoming
tournament.

“The track was recorded and produced at the well known
Greenfields Studios of Gerald O’Donoghue and son Declan in Claran, County
Galway.

Keith is a past finalist of the Dún Laoghaire song
contest, has had national airplay for a number of his songs and is a past
student at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Andy Bennett is a well-known singer/songwriter from
Stepaside, and a stalwart on the gig circuit around Ireland.

Keith added:

“Happy birthday Mr Trapattoni and
remember: this summer it’s Ireland on the jersey, Ireland at the Euros, it’s

‘Ireland
all the Way’!
