Dublin City Council and Clúid have opened applications for 56 new Cost Rental homes in the first phase of the new Oscar Traynor Woods development in Dublin 5.
Applications for 56 new Cost Rental homes in in Oscar Traynor Woods opened at 9am today, Wednesday 14 January.
This is the first time that interested applicants will be able to apply for a Cost Rental home in the new Oscar Traynor Woods development in Dublin’s north side.
Interested applicants will be able to apply online at www.cluid.ie for one of the 56 brand new, A-rated detached, semi-detached and terrace two- and three-bed houses.
Rent for each of the 20 two-bed houses is €1,547 per calendar month.
Rent for each of the 36 three-bed houses is €1,784 per calendar month.
This represents a saving of at least 25% on the market rent for a similar home in the area.
In addition to the low cost to run these brand-new homes, new Cost Rental residents will also benefit from secure, life-long tenancies and high-quality, responsive management and maintenance.

Together Dublin City Council and Clúid are creating a neighbourhood that reflects real change in delivering mixed tenure homes with excellent amenities and green spaces.”

The homes are part of the Oscar Traynor Woods development in the vibrant North Dublin suburb of Coolock.
The homes are being developed in a partnership between Dublin City Council, Clúid and Glenveagh, with support from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, The Housing Agency and the Housing Finance Agency.
As well as the 340 Cost Rental homes, the finished development will be composed of 342 social homes, owned and managed by Clúid, 168 affordable purchase homes, administered by Dublin City Council, a creche, play area, parks and a civic square with a community building.
Averil Power added:“We are expecting high demand for these homes, due to the high quality, excellent location and reduced rents. We’re urging interested applicants to familiarise themselves with the eligibility requirements and to complete their applications on www.cluid.ie as soon as possible. Applicants will need to submit all their documentation online before 5pm on Wednesday 28 January to be included in the lottery.”

In addition to the 56 Cost Rental homes in Oscar Traynor Woods, Clúid has also opened applications for 23 additional homes in Drogheda, Co. Louth.
