As part of an ongoing regional operation targeting an organised crime group involved in drug trafficking and money laundering in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR), the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) seized over €300,000 in cash during a search operation on Wednesday, October 15.
In the course of the operation, a number of residential properties in Dublin’s North Inner City were searched.
A total of €301,000 in cash was recovered from two of the properties, with €35,000 found at one address and €266,000 at another.
Three individuals were arrested, including a man in his 40s, a woman in her 30s, and a woman in her 60s.
All three are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Garda stations in the city.
