Dublin Simon Community has launched the GAFF Collection – a limited-edition, ethically produced merch range created in collaboration with Dublin-based artist Conor Merriman.
This unisex collection features t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, caps and bucket hats, all printed locally in Dublin by The T-Shirt Company and made from 100% organic cotton with globally recognised ethical certifications (GOTS, GRS, OEKO-TEX, PETA).
At the heart of the collection is the word “GAFF” – an Irish slang for home – a simple, striking design that aims to start conversations, raise awareness, and drive action to end homelessness in Ireland.
With over 15,000 people currently without a place to call home, the GAFF Collection is a statement of solidarity and a tool for change.
“GAFF isn’t just a word – it’s a goal.
“Every piece sold helps someone move from emergency accommodation into a home of their own,” said Emma Kilkenny, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Dublin Simon Community.
“We’re proud to launch this collection with Conor, whose work captures both the urgency of the crisis and the resilience of our community.”
A long-time supporter of Dublin Simon, Conor Merriman brings his visual storytelling to the collection.
“This collection leans into the need for housing for all,” Conor said.
“Getting the opportunity to work with a charity like Dublin Simon is an honour, whose dedication to ending and preventing homelessness is at the core of the project.”
100% of profits from the GAFF Collection will directly fund Dublin Simon’s work supporting people experiencing homelessness, from outreach work on the streets and emergency accommodation to prevention, health services and long-term housing solutions.
Where to Find the GAFF Collection
The collection will debut in person at two of the biggest festivals of the summer:
Beyond the Pale Festival (13–15 June, Glendalough Estate): Dublin Simon is the official charity partner, and the GAFF Collection will be on sale at the Dublin Simon Pop-Up Shop and the official festival merch stand.
The partnership also includes Beyond the Trail, an 18km charity hike from Marlay Park to the festival grounds on Friday the 13th, raising vital funds for people experiencing homelessness.
