Hugh Lane Gallery Stands With Ukraine

If you’re looking for a way to support the people of Ukraine and enjoy an evening out in the process, the Hugh Lane Gallery might have just the answer.

The Gallery is hosting an evening of Ukrainian music and poetry this Friday, April 29.

Tickets for the event are priced at €25 each, with all proceeds going to the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.

Ukrainian singer and musician Olesya Zdorovetska will provide a wonderful performance of Ukrainian traditional music, interspersed with contemporary poetry, giving some insights into their context and meaning.

Olesya is a founder of the Ukrainian-Irish Cultural Platform and co-curator with Christodoulos Makris of Phonica, a new music and poetry platform in Dublin.

The performance will be in the Sculpture Hall of Hugh Lane Gallery and will be fully seated.

Doors open at 6pm, with light refreshments provided by Luncheonette, the Gallery’s café, served in the Gallery Front Hall.

The Ground Floor Galleries will also be open for your enjoyment.
