It’s official: We are Dublin’s Number 1 local newspaper!
We are now officially Dublin’s Number 1 free, weekly, local newspaper, according to the latest industry research.
It has been confirmed…a total of more than 260,000 people across Dublin read one of our three editions – The Northside People (East), Northside People (West) and Southside People – every single week.
And we want to thank each and every one of you for your support in making us the most read local newspaper in Dublin.
Having loyally served our readers and advertisers across the city for more than 34 years, we remain the original Northside People and Southside People brands and we are still the best.
Our 260,000 readers put our competitors in the shade and with those figures we even beat some of the national titles in the market.
In the study conducted by Kantar Media, one of the most recognised and trusted research companies in the world, our readership of 260,000 is streets ahead of our next nearest rivals.
On a weekly basis we have a massive 98,000 more readers than The Sunday World in Dublin (SW readership 162,000) 133,000 more Dublin readers than the Sunday Times (ST Dublin readership 127,000) and 25,000 more readers in Dublin than the Sunday Independent.
This also means that if you ran one advert with us, in your local weekly newspaper, it would be seen by 49,000 more readers in Dublin than if the same ad appeared in one daily edition of the Irish Independent (211,000).
By the same example, your one ad in our three editions would be seen by an impressive 111,000 more Dublin readers than the 149,000 who read the Irish Times in Dublin every day.
And, compared to The Herald we have a massive 98,340 Dublin readers more than the 98,600 who read one of their daily editions.
FACT: The Northside and Southside People are the only local Dublin newspapers with official audited TGI 2021 readership figures.
Our advertisers can rest assured therefore, that we can stand over our official readership figures, unlike some of our competitors in the Dublin market.
